Seasonal Threats

Depending on the season, no matter where you live you could be facing some serious seasonal threats.  For me and my family, summer is no different and brings on it's own challenges, so I wanted to share the things that have worked for us.

Are you rubbing at your itchy eyes?  Do you scratch the back of your throat with your tongue (good on you if you don't know what this is)?  Do you or your kiddos develop itchy and/or red areas?

The first place I'll start is with the all star product for my family - TriEase (click on the link to learn more about it).  This is doTERRA's Seasonal Blend.  The three oils in this blend are Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint, but they're packed neatly in a softgel for ease of use.  Love to garden or hike?  Enjoy animals, but struggle with their dander?  This blend is for you!

I've personally had a TON of SUCCESS with these bad boys, but I want to share with you a funny story about what happened to me before I kept TriEase in my purse.

We were out to dinner celebrating a good friends 90th birthday. She had both a dog and cat, so when she gave me a hug, kissed my cheek and grabbed my face those pesky red, itchy raised bumps totally made there way to my face. The good news was I had Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint with me, the bad news was no one had drinks yet, but there was chips and salsa sitting on the table. So just like that I decided that the chip was going to be the vehicle in which I was going to get those three oils into my system. It was the nastiest tasting chip! BUT, it TOTALLY worked! And I mean worked FAST! Like less than 5 minutes after eating that crazily concocted chip the bump, itching and redness were gone.

Another HUGE way these help me are with pets and other seasonal threats.  We just got back from an amazing vacation in Illinois, and let me tell you, these were a lifesaver.  My sister-in-law has two beautiful dogs and sadly, one sickly cat.  We stayed with her for 6 days.  I took a TriEase every morning while we were there and was totally fine.  On just two occasions I had to take a second pill, but we were outside a lot that day - there was lawn mowing going on, cottonwood seeds flying not to mention the other things Illinois has to offer that my body didn't like.  Tee-hee!

So whether you struggle a little or suffer a lot you should give TriEease a fair shot.  If you don't have them yet and don't want to wait then simply use Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint.  You can do what I did and just get creative with your delivery system (a chip) or you can do something a little more civilized by putting it in a tiny amount of water.

Stay tuned next week as I discuss more on some other methods for helping to control those itchy, red and sometimes scary bumps that seem to come out of nowhere.

If you need help, want to learn more or hear more please don't be shy and leave a comment or send me a message - that's truly what I'm here for.

Enjoy the weekend!

XOXO Danette
