Helichrysum

Helichrysum is best known for its restorative properties to the skin. Also referred to as the Everlasting or Immortal Flower, Helichrysum is used in anti-aging products for its rejuvenating benefits to the skin. Helichrysum can help reduce the appearance of blemishes, and it promotes a glowing, youthful complexion. 

Because of its chemical constituents that help with tissue repair, you can apply the oil directly to a wound (neat or diluted).  We live in Colorado, where it's very dry.  Because of the climate and lack of moisture in the air here my son used to deal with bloody noses nearly every day.  When we first started using essential oils in our home Helichrysum was one of the first oils I got.  When my son got a bloody nose, we would rub a drop across the bridge of his nose.  It worked like a charm (but he has only had 2 or 3 nosebleeds in the past 3 years!  Reach out to me to find out why).  

I've also been known to cut myself shaving and always turn to Helichrysum.  For my nose it kinda smells like a bandage - that's how I remember what to use it on.  Tee-hee!
