Diffusers & How to Clean'em

Diffusers are where it's at!  Using your essential oils in a diffuser is an excellent way to get the benefits of them aromatically - it cleanses the air, sets the mood, helps to regulate and maintain feelings, as well as minimize seasonal treats.  Bonus - at pennies per drop (most diffusers using 4 to 6 drops) it's super affordable too.

Like essential oils, the world of diffusers can be overwhelming.  My goal in the post is to share with you some of my favorite diffusers, where to get them and how to clean them.  Before I continue, I want to say, have fun with picking out your diffusers.  Get the ones that are not only highly rated or recommended, but that fits your budget and you like the looks of it too.  You're more likely to use and love your diffuser if you like the way it looks in your space.  Speaking of, I have 7 diffusers that I use regularly: all our bedrooms, main bathroom, office, kitchen, and living room.  Part of that has to do with not wanting to clean them between each use, as I diffuse different oil combos in our bedrooms than I do in our living room and kitchen.

I have purchased many diffusers from Amazon.  Just be aware the cheaper ones may not last as long.  I've had some that only lasted a few months, but others have lasted me years.  Other than doTERRA's diffusers, I really trust Greenair.  I sell a few doTERRA and Greenair diffusers right here on my website too!  Shop diffusers with FREE shipping here

So, now that you're excited about your diffusers, lets learn how to clean them.

If you want to keep your diffuser in perfect running condition for years to come, you'll want to clean it after each use by wiping it out and letting it dry before using it again.

For a quick clean, it is a good idea to diffuse Lemon oil for a few minutes. This will make it easier to wipe out any residue or water lines.

It's also recommend that you deep clean your diffusers once a month or as needed.

I'll be totally honest, I'm not the best at scheduling in my diffuser cleanings, but when I do the deep cleaning, I'll often take them outside and run several of them through with vinegar and lemon.

Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.  If you don't have a doTERRA wholesale account and would like to get one, I can help you figure out the most cost effective way to get started - often times you'll get a free diffuser with your purchase too, just reach out.
