DIY Cleaning Recipes - Bathroom

Although our bathrooms tend to be the smallest rooms in our home they have the most surface area to clean to ward off germs, bacteria, and mold to name a few. 52% of Americans say their #1 most dreaded cleaning task is in the bathroom - the tub and toilet specifically. The American Cleaning Institute's National Cleaning Survey revealed that 88% of participants indicated that their toilet is cleaned the most often, and 46% said that their bathroom gets a deep cleaning more frequently than other rooms in their home.

Tips to Keep Your Bathroom Fresher - Longer

1) Mist shower walls with an all-purpose cleaner right after showering while the walls are still warm and wet. This will help minimize mildew and residual soap build-up and you just spray and go.

2) Use reusable or DIY wipes (recipe in Kitchen post) or cleaning cloths to wipe down mirrors, faucet handles, countertops and outside of toilet and handle.

3) Tidy the toilet with a toilet pod (and quick brush) as needed.

4) Wipe off sink basin and handles to dry. This will minimize water, soap scum and toothpaste spots.
