There’s never a “right time” to start making healthier choices. Life will always be busy, seasons will shift, and circumstances will change, but your health is happening right now. The good news? As we know better, we can do better. Real, lasting change doesn’t come from doing everything perfectly—it comes from showing up consistently, allowing small, intentional choices to add up over time.
This 30-day journey isn’t about overhaul—it’s about alignment. Let’s walk through several simple yet powerful areas that can help you build a healthier, more vibrant you.

FOUNDATIONAL WELLNESS
Everything begins with what we put into our bodies. A balanced diet filled with whole, nourishing foods lays the groundwork for optimal health. A good rule of thumb? The fewer ingredients, the better. If you can’t pronounce it or don’t recognize it, it’s worth questioning. Be especially mindful of vague terms like “natural flavors,” which can be more complex than they sound.
Apps can be incredibly helpful in navigating today’s food landscape—one of my favorites is Bobby Approved, which allows you to scan the barcode on foods to quickly learn if it’s recommended. I like that it highlights questionable ingredients and explains why they may not serve your health.
Even when eating well, soil depletion and growing distrust in the food industry mean that supplementation is often necessary. However, not all supplements are created equal. Since the industry is largely unregulated, it’s important to choose products that are thoroughly vetted—look for terms like “whole-food form” as a starting point.
My go-to
foundational wellness support includes doTERRA VMG+, EO Mega+, and PB Restore, which work synergistically to support overall health.
SLEEP
Quality sleep is one of the most overlooked pillars of health. It’s not just about how long you sleep… it’s about how well you sleep. Deep, restorative sleep allows your body to repair, your brain to process and detox, and your hormones to regulate.
Creating a consistent bedtime routine can make all the difference. Try dimming lights, limiting screen time, and engaging in calming rituals before bed.
STRESS MANAGEMENT
Stress is something we all experience, but how we manage it makes all the difference. Chronic stress impacts everything from digestion to immunity to mental clarity.
If you’d like a deeper dive into how stress affects the body, be sure to revisit my previous post,
When Stress Gets Personal. In the meantime, remember this: while we can’t eliminate stress, we can support our body’s response to it.
My go-to system is the
doTERRA Adaptiv System, designed to help the body adapt and respond more effectively to daily stressors and anxious feelings.

HYDRATION
We all know hydration matters, but understanding why can be a game changer. Proper hydration supports glowing skin, efficient digestion, and can even help reduce unnecessary snacking.
A general guideline is to drink half your body weight (in pounds) in ounces of water daily.
To make it more enjoyable, I love adding essential oils - a drop of
Lemon for gentle detox support and
Peppermint for a refreshing energy boost. Pro Tip: never use plastic with essential oils as they will break down the plastic which will not only ruin your cup or water bottle, but you'll then be drinking microplastics. Yuck! Stainless steel, ceramic and glass are preferred.

DAILY MOVEMENT
Movement is essential, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. Whether it’s a walk, stretching, strength training, or mobility work, moving your body daily supports circulation, joint health, and overall vitality.
Start with the basics: aim for consistency over intensity. Even 10–15 minutes a day can make a difference.
And if you’re looking to take your movement and recovery to the next level, practitioner-assisted stretching (like my
AromaStretch sessions) can help improve mobility, reduce tension, and support long-term wellness.

DIFFUSING
Diffusing essential oils is one of the simplest ways to influence your environment and your mood. Through the olfactory system, scent is directly connected to memory, emotion, and even physiological responses.
Beyond emotional support, diffusing can also help purify the air and create a healthier home environment.
Some of my favorite doTERRA blends include:
Adaptiv for calming (I actually diffuse at bedtime)
Shinrin-Yoku for connecting with nature & inspiring mindfulness
SIMPLE SWAPS
What we put on and around our bodies matters just as much as what we put in them. From personal care to cleaning products, small swaps can significantly reduce toxic exposure.
A great place to start? Look for the word “fragrance” on labels. This one word can hide over 1,100 undisclosed chemicals, which means it’s best to avoid it altogether.
FLUSHING THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM
Your lymphatic system plays a crucial role in detoxification and immune function, but unlike the circulatory system, it doesn’t have a pump. It relies on movement and external support to keep things flowing.
Simple ways to support lymphatic flow include several areas we’ve already addressed: moving your body, staying hydrated, and reducing stress. Deep breathing is another way to support our lymph as it acts as a pump for the largest lymphatic pathways.
DAILY HABITS
Small habits, done consistently, create lasting change. Habit stacking (pairing a new habit with an existing one) is a powerful way to build routines that stick.
Here are a few simple ideas:
- Add stretching while watching TV
- Drink water first thing in the morning
- Take a few deep breaths before meals
- Apply essential oils as part of your morning or evening routine
One of the very first habits I started over nine years ago was placing one drop of
Frankincense under my tongue right after brushing my teeth each morning. It’s a small act that supports my body at a cellular level and helps promote emotional balance throughout the day.
A healthier you isn’t built overnight—it’s built through consistent, intentional choices made day after day. Over the next 30 days, focus on progress, not perfection. Start small, stay consistent, and trust that each positive choice is moving you forward.
Remember, you don’t have to do everything at once. Just begin.
