HIP MOBILITY & ALIGNMENT
RECOVERY ROADMAP

The AromaStrech™ Method

Move Freely. Stay Aligned. Eliminate Compensations.

Tight, restricted hips don’t just affect how you move—they affect everything.

From low back discomfort to knee strain and poor posture, your hips are one of the most important control centers in your body. When they lose mobility or fall out of alignment, other areas are forced to compensate.

The result?

  • Stiffness when walking or standing up
  • Uneven weight distribution
  • Tight hip flexors or deep glute tension
  • Low back or knee discomfort
This isn’t just about stretching your hips. It’s about restoring how they move, stabilize, and coordinate with the rest of your body.

What’s Really Causing Your Hip Issues?
Hip restrictions are rarely just “tight muscles.”

They’re usually a combination of:
  • Prolonged Sitting (Hip Flexor Shortening)
Spending hours seated keeps your hips in a flexed position, leading to shortened hip flexors and inhibited glutes.
  • Poor Pelvic Control
If your pelvis is tilted forward or backward, your hips can’t move efficiently—creating tension and imbalance.
  • Lack of Internal Rotation
Most people lose the ability to rotate their hips inward, which is essential for walking, lunging, and stabilizing.
  • Compensation Patterns
When hips don’t move well, the low back, knees, or even ankles take over—leading to discomfort and inefficient movement.
  • Nervous System Guarding
If your body feels unstable, it will tighten surrounding muscles to protect you—limiting mobility even more.

YOUR DAILY RESET
(Mobility Work)

Restore movement. Improve alignment. Reduce tension. Perform these daily to help your hips move the way they’re designed to.

1. 90/90 HIP ROTATIONS
How to do it: Move slow and controlled—don’t rush through the transitions.
  • Sit with one leg in front at 90° and the other behind at 90°
  • Keep your chest tall
  • Rotate side to side slowly without using your hands if possible
Why it helps:
Restores internal and external rotation—key for balanced hip mobility and joint health.
2. HALF-KNEELING HIP FLEXOR STRETCH
How to do it
  • Kneel on one knee with the other foot forward
  • Tuck your pelvis slightly (posterior tilt)
  • Gently shift forward until you feel a stretch in the front hip
Why it helps:
Lengthens tight hip flexors caused by sitting and improves pelvic positioning.

3. GLUTE BRIDGE HOLD
How to do it: Avoid arching your lower back.
  • Lie on your back with knees bent
  • Press through your heels and lift hips
  • Hold at the top while squeezing glutes
Why it helps:
Activates glutes to support hip extension and reduce overuse of the low back.

4. ADDUCTOR ROCK BACKS
How to do it
  • Start on hands and knees
  • Extend one leg out to the side
  • Rock your hips back slowly
Why it helps:
Improves inner thigh mobility, which is critical for hip stability and alignment.

TRAIN YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM
(Your Secret Weapon)

Mobility without control won’t last. These drills help your brain and body own the new range.

END-RANGE HOLDS
How to do it:
  • Move into a comfortable end range (like 90/90 or bridge top position)
  • Hold gently while breathing

Progression
Increase hold time or reduce support

Why it works:
Teaches your nervous system that these ranges are safe and usable.
SLOW CONTROLLED MOVEMENT
How to do it:
  • Perform movements (like hip circles) as slowly as possible
  • Stay smooth and controlled

Progression
Increase range or reduce assistance

Why it works:
Improves communication between brain and muscles.
CROSS-BODY STABILITY
How to do it:
  • Perform movements while keeping core engaged
  • Focus on stability during motion
Progression
Add light resistance or balance challenges

Why it works:
Builds stability and reduces compensations.

NATURAL SUPPORT
(Optional, But Powerful)

Limited hip mobility and poor alignment are often influenced by muscle imbalances, joint stiffness, and compensatory movement patterns. Supporting your body with targeted, natural strategies can help improve mobility, restore balance, and promote more efficient, pain-free movement.
SUPPORT FOR INFLAMMATION & DISCOMFORT
Inflammation and tight, overworked muscles can restrict hip mobility and contribute to discomfort or compensation in surrounding areas like the low back and knees.

Recommended support:
  • Deep Blue Stick + Copaiba
Apply directly to hips, hip flexors, glutes, and surrounding areas for a cooling, soothing effect.
  • Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex (combines polyphenol extracts of frankincense, turmeric, apple, ginger, pomegranate, and grapeseed)
Take 1-2 capsules (like you would an OTC anti-inflammatory) for internal support.
  • Frankincense Oil or Boswellic Acid Complex
Use the oil topically, directly on knee and 1 drop under tongue daily and/or take 1 capsule daily for anti-inflammatory support with antioxidant and healthy cellular function and repair.
  • Copaiba Oil or Softgels
Using the oil topically or taking the softgel (3 drops of oil) internally is just a matter of preference/convenience. If using topically I highly recommend layering with the Deep Blue Stick. You can also take 1-2 capsules - it aids healthy immune and inflammatory responses when taken internally. Both supports healthy inflammation response and comfort.
  • Turmeric Dual Chamber Capsules
Take 1-2 capsules daily to manage long-term inflammation. The turmerones and curcuminoids in this capsule maximize the effectiveness and benefits - a natural one-two punch in the fight against free radicals and promotion of a healthy inflammatory response.
JOINT SUPPORT & SUTRUCTURAL ALIGNMENT
Healthy joints and connective tissues are essential for proper hip alignment and smooth, controlled movement.

Recommended support:
In addition to Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex (mentioned above) and VMG+ (mentioned below)
NERVOUS SYSTEM SUPPORT FOR PAIN & TENSION
Tightness and restricted mobility are often linked to overactive or underactive muscles, influenced by the nervous system.

Recommended support:
  • Balance Grounding Blend
Apply to bottoms of feet to start your day off and/or diffuse throughout the day as needed.
  • Box Breathing
Inhale through the nose for 4 seconds, Hold for 4 seconds, Exhale for 4 seconds, Hold for 4 seconds - repeat 2-3 minutes. This signals safety to your nervous system, quickly lowering your heart rate and decreasing cortisol levels which can reduce tension in your low back almost immediately.

  • Deeper Support Options (In-Gym)
Tools like the Mental Wellness Pod and BioCharger can help support nervous system regulation, circulation, and overall recovery—helping the body release tension, improve mobility, and restore more balanced movement patterns.

Pop the Adaptiv Touch in your bag and take it with you on-the-go for dealing with life's most stressful moments no matter where you are - simply roll on pusle points (wrists, over heart, etc.).

DAILY MOVEMENT:
  • Incorporate regular movement throughout the day—especially if you sit often. Focus on hip-opening movements, walking, and posture awareness to prevent stiffness and compensation.

HYDRATION & TISSUE HEALTH
Approximately 75% of the globe is dehydrated, so proper hydration cannot be talked about enough! It's not about drinking more water; it's about your body being able to absorb and use the water you drink. Hydration is essential for joint lubrication, fascia health, and muscle elasticity—all key for maintaining hip mobility.

DAILY HYDRATION GOAL:
Aim for at least half your body weight in ounces of water daily—and more if you’re active or experiencing discomfort. (Example: 140lbs = 70oz)

ELECTROLYTE SUPPORT:
  • Recharge Electrolyte Mix → A balanced blend of electrolytes—including potassium, sodium, and magnesium— that’s perfect for everyone, not just high-performance athletes. It also includes baobab extract and deep-ocean minerals like molybdenum, magnesium, vanadium from the Kuroshio Current in the Pacific Ocean, helping water work more cooperatively with your cells so you don’t have to work hard to stay hydrated. You can get Recharge in Lemon-Lime or Wild Strawberry (I like both, but a combo of both is my fav).
Use as needed to support proper absorption. Shake a sachet to activate. Pour the electrolyte concentrate into 16 ounces of cold water, stir or shake, and enjoy.

FASCIA & TISSUE SUPPORT AT HOME:
Releasing fascia restrictions helps improve mobility and allows the hips to move more efficiently.

  • Gentle fascia blasting around hip flexors, glutes and IT band
*Please ask if you're unsure how to do at-home fascia release. Or for deeper support, try a signature AromaStretch-n-Blast session—a hands-on approach combining assisted stretching, fascia work, and targeted techniques to help improve knee stability and reduce discomfort.

ADVANCED RECOVERY ADD-ONS
(Optional)

Want to take your hip mobility and alignment to the next level? These simple add-ons help improve joint awareness, calm protective tension, and support better communication between your brain and body. Healthy hips don’t just need flexibility—they need strength, stability, and confidence in movement.

Choose one or two to layer into your routine—small, consistent inputs create lasting changes.

ACUPRESSURE SUPPORT
Target key points around the hips and lower body to support relaxation, mobility, and comfortable movement.

How to use:
Apply firm, comfortable pressure for 30–60 seconds while breathing slowly. Repeat 1–2 times as needed. Avoid pressing directly into areas that feel sharp or painful.

Recommended Points:
  • GB30 (Huan Tiao)
→ Located in the center of the buttock where the glute muscle meets the outer hip
→ Commonly used to support hip mobility, glute relaxation, and comfort through the hip region
  • ST31 (Biguan)
→ Located on the front of the upper thigh, where the hip crease meets the leg
→ Supports circulation and relaxation through the hip flexor region
💡Pro Tip: Apply Copaiba or Deep Blue® around the hip muscles before acupressure to encourage relaxation and support comfort.

VISUAL RESET (Brain + Body Connection)
Your brain uses information from your eyes, inner ear, and joints to determine how your body moves and stabilizes. Improving these signals can help your hips move with better coordination and control.

Simple Drill:
  • Stand tall with your feet comfortably apart
  • Keep your head facing forward
  • Extend your arms out to your sides
  • Slowly move your fingers while keeping your eyes focused straight ahead
  • Notice your awareness of movement in your peripheral vision
  • Continue for 30–60 seconds
💡 If your hip movement, balance, or comfort changes after this drill, your nervous system is part of the solution.
LYMPHATIC + CIRCULATION BOOST
Supporting circulation and fluid movement helps nourish tissues around the hips while reducing stiffness and helping the body move more freely.

Options to Try:
  • Dry Brushing
→ Use gentle strokes from the legs upward toward the hips before showering to support circulation and body awareness
  • Vibration Plate (if available)
→ 10-15 minutes with soft knees to encourage circulation, sensory input, and muscle activation
  • Daily Movement
→ Daily walking encourages natural hip rotation and helps maintain joint mobility
💡Healthy hips thrive on movement. Gentle, consistent activity helps keep joints nourished and muscles communicating.

When Will You See Results?

With consistent effort, many clients notice:
  • Improved hip mobility within the first few sessions
  • Better balance and alignment in daily movement
