WRIST & HAND SUPPORT
RECOVERY ROADMAP
The AromaStrech™ Method
Improve Mobility • Reduce Tension • Restore Strength & Control
Your wrists and hands are involved in nearly everything you do—typing, lifting, gripping, training, and daily tasks. Because they’re used so frequently, they’re especially prone to overuse, tension, and compensation patterns.
When wrist or hand discomfort shows up, it’s rarely just about the joint itself. It’s often influenced by forearm tension, shoulder positioning, repetitive movement patterns, and how your nervous system is coordinating fine motor control.
This roadmap focuses on restoring mobility, improving coordination, reducing tension, and helping your hands and wrists move with more strength and ease.
What’s Really Causing Wrist & Hand Discomfort?Wrist and hand issues typically develop from a combination of repetitive stress, mobility limitations, and coordination breakdowns.
🔁 Repetitive Use & Overload
Typing, gripping, lifting, and phone use all place repeated stress on the wrist and hand structures.
Common contributors:
- Long periods of computer or phone use
- Repetitive gripping or lifting
- Poor wrist positioning during activity
💪 Forearm Tension & Imbalance
The muscles that control your hands and wrists are located in your forearms. When these become tight or overworked, they can pull on the wrist joint and affect movement.
🔗 Limited Mobility Through the Chain
Restrictions in the elbows, shoulders, or upper back can change how force travels into the wrist and hand—leading to compensation and strain.
🧠 Nervous System Over-Protection
Because the hands are highly sensitive and important for function, your nervous system may increase tension or restrict movement to protect the area.
YOUR DAILY RESET
(Mobility Work)
The goal of your daily reset is to reduce forearm tension, improve wrist mobility, and restore better movement patterns.
Consistency matters more than intensity.
1. WRIST FLEXOR STRETCH (20-30 seconds each side)
How to do it:
- Extend one arm in front of you
- Palm facing up
- Gently pull fingers back with opposite hand
Why it helps:
Reduces tension on the inside of the forearm and wrist.
2. WRIST EXTENSOR STRETCH (20-30 seconds each side)
How to do it:
- Extend arm with palm facing down
- Gently pull hand downward
Why it helps:
Relieves tension on the top of the forearm.
3. WRIST CIRCLES (5-8 each direction)
How to do it:
- Make slow circles with your wrist
- Move both directions
Why it helps:
Improves joint mobility and awareness.
4. FINGER EXTENSION RESET (10 reps)
How to do it:
- Open your hand as wide as possible
- Hold briefly, then relax
*Strong hands require both strength and release.
Why it helps:
Improves balance between gripping and opening the hand.
TRAIN YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM
(Your Secret Weapon)
Your hands have a large representation in your brain. Improving coordination between your eyes, brain, and hands can reduce tension and improve movement precision.
HAND TRACKING DRILL (30-60 seconds)
How to do it:
- In a seated position
- Hold your hand in front of you
- Move it slowly side to side
- Follow with your eyes only
Progression:
Stand, then switch to single-leg balance.
Why it works:
Improves coordination and smooth movement
OBJECT TRANSFER DRILL (30-60 seconds)
How to do it:
- Hold a small object
- Slowly pass it between hands
- Keep eyes focused on the object
Progression:
Move to balancing on one foot or add another object.
Why it works:
Improves hand coordination and control.
ACCELERATE YOUR RESUTLS
(In-Gym Recovery Tools)
Your wrist and hand recovery depends on reducing forearm tension, improving circulation, and supporting tissue recovery from repetitive use.
To enhance your progress, incorporate these at Fitness Premier:
- Massage Gun → Targets forearm muscles that control wrist and hand movement. Focus on forearms (top and bottom) + biceps/triceps (support chain).
- Compression Massage Chair → Encourages circulation and full-body relaxation, supporting recovery.
- Hydro Massage Chairs → Supports circulation and relaxation throughout the lower body.
- Steam Shower → Heat helps relax tight tissues and prepares wrists and forearms for mobility work.
NATURAL SUPPORT
(Optional, But Powerful)
Recovery requires more than just movement—it depends on creating the right internal environment for tissue health, inflammation balance, and nervous system regulation.
PAIN & INFLAMMATION SUPPORTRepetitive use and prolonged positioning can contribute to irritation and discomfort in the wrist and hand tissues.
Recommended support:
- Deep Blue Stick + Copaiba
Apply directly to wrist and forearm, you can even massage into hands for a cooling, soothing effect. - Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex (combines polyphenol extracts of frankincense, turmeric, apple, ginger, pomegranate, and grapeseed)
Take 1-2 capsules (like you would an OTC anti-inflammatory) for internal support. - Frankincense Oil or Boswellic Acid Complex
Use the oil topically, directly on knee and 1 drop under tongue daily and/or take 1 capsule daily for anti-inflammatory support with antioxidant and healthy cellular function and repair. - Copaiba Oil or Softgels
Using the oil topically or taking the softgel (3 drops of oil) internally is just a matter of preference/convenience. If using topically I highly recommend layering with the Deep Blue Stick. You can also take 1-2 capsules - it aids healthy immune and inflammatory responses when taken internally. Both supports healthy inflammation response and comfort. - Turmeric Dual Chamber Capsules
Take 1-2 capsules daily to manage long-term inflammation. The turmerones and curcuminoids in this capsule maximize the effectiveness and benefits - a natural one-two punch in the fight against free radicals and promotion of a healthy inflammatory response.
JOINT & TISSUE SUPPORT
The wrists rely on small joints, tendons, and connective tissue working together for precision and strength.
Recommended support:
In addition to Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex and Boswellic Acid Complex (mentioned above)
NERVOUS SYSTEM SUPPORT
Fine motor control depends heavily on nervous system efficiency. Supporting this system can improve coordination and reduce unnecessary tension.
Recommended support:
- Balance Grounding Blend
Apply to bottoms of feet to start your day off and/or diffuse throughout the day as needed.

- Box Breathing
Inhale through the nose for 4 seconds, Hold for 4 seconds, Exhale for 4 seconds, Hold for 4 seconds - repeat 2-3 minutes. This signals safety to your nervous system, quickly lowering your heart rate and decreasing cortisol levels which can reduce tension in your low back almost immediately.

- Deeper Support Options (In-Gym)
Tools like the Mental Wellness Pod and BioCharger can support nervous system regulation, circulation, and overall recovery—helping improve coordination, reduce protective tension, and support smoother, more precise hand and wrist function.

DAILY MOVEMENT:
- Your hands need regular movement and variation.
Try:
- Taking breaks from typing
- Alternating grip patterns
- Avoiding prolonged static positions
- Gently opening/closing hands throughout the day
💡 Frequent small movements are more powerful than occasional big ones.
HYDRATION & TISSUE HEALTH
Approximately 75% of the globe is dehydrated, so proper hydration cannot be talked about enough! It's not about drinking more water; it's about your body being able to absorb and use the water you drink. Hydration supports joint lubrication, fascia health, and muscle elasticity—key components for maintaining shoulder mobility and reducing stiffness.
DAILY HYDRATION GOAL:
Aim for at least half your body weight in ounces of water daily—and more if you’re active or experiencing discomfort. (Example: 140lbs = 70oz)
ELECTROLYTE SUPPORT:
- Recharge Electrolyte Mix → A balanced blend of electrolytes—including potassium, sodium, and magnesium— that’s perfect for everyone, not just high-performance athletes. It also includes baobab extract and deep-ocean minerals like molybdenum, magnesium, vanadium from the Kuroshio Current in the Pacific Ocean, helping water work more cooperatively with your cells so you don’t have to work hard to stay hydrated. You can get Recharge in Lemon-Lime or Wild Strawberry (I like both, but a combo of both is my fav).
Use as needed to support proper absorption. Shake a sachet to activate. Pour the electrolyte concentrate into 16 ounces of cold water, stir or shake, and enjoy.

FASCIA & TISSUE SUPPORT AT HOME:
Your wrists and hands are connected to a larger network of fascia that runs through your forearms, elbows, and shoulders. Improving tissue quality helps reduce tension and improve movement efficiency.
- Gentle fascia blasting can help improve tissue mobility and reduce areas of restriction. Focus on palm of hand, back of hand, fingers, wrist and forearm. Make sure to work around joints and not aggressively into them.
*Please ask if you're unsure how to do at-home fascia release. Or for deeper support, try a signature AromaStretch-n-Blast session—a hands-on approach combining assisted stretching, fascia work, and targeted techniques to help improve knee stability and reduce discomfort.

ADVANCED RECOVERY ADD-ONS
(Optional)
Want to take your wrist and hand recovery a step further? These add-ons are designed to address the smaller, more detailed pieces of recovery—including pressure-point support, brain-to-hand coordination, visual input, and circulation.
You don't need to do everything at once. Choose one or two that complement your Daily Reset and use them consistently.
ACUPRESSURE SUPPORT
The hands and wrists contain numerous pressure points that can be incorporated into a gentle self-care routine. Applying comfortable pressure may help encourage relaxation and support circulation through the hand and forearm.
How to use:
Apply firm, comfortable pressure for 30–60 seconds while breathing slowly. Stay just outside of painful or highly sensitive areas.
Recommended Points:
→ Between thumb and index finger
→ Supports hand tension and comfort
- PC6 (Inner Forearm Point)
→ Inner forearm, a few inches below wrist
→ Supports wrist discomfort and circulation
💡Pro Tip: Apply your favorite essential oil (like Deep Blue® or Copaiba) to surrounding tissues for a more complete recovery routine.
VISUAL RESET (Brain + Hand Connection)Your hands are highly represented in the brain, and vision provides important information that helps your nervous system organize reaching, gripping, and precise hand movements. Adding visual input can help reinforce the connection between what you see and how your hands move.
Near-to-Far Focus + Hand Tracking:
- Hold one thumb about 8–12 inches in front of your face.
- Focus your eyes on your thumb.
- Slowly move your thumb from side to side while keeping your head still.
- Follow the thumb smoothly with your eyes.
- After several passes, look at an object across the room.
- Shift your focus back to your thumb.
- Repeat slowly and comfortably.
- Continue for 30–60 seconds
💡 Improves eye-hand coordination, visual tracking, focus flexibility, brain-to-hand movement awareness and smooth, controlled movement.
LYMPHATIC + CIRCULATION BOOST
Your hands and forearms are constantly working, and prolonged gripping or static positions can contribute to that heavy, tight feeling. Gentle movement and circulation-focused strategies can complement your mobility work and support overall tissue recovery.
Options to Try:
- Dry Brushing
→ Use light strokes from the from the hands towards the forearms to support circulation and lymphatic flow. - Vibration Plate (if available)
→ 10-15 minutes to provides indirect circulation support. - Hand & Wrist Movement Breaks
→ Sometimes the most effective circulation strategy is simply to stop holding the same position.
Every 30–60 minutes:- Open and close your hands 10 times
- Gently shake out your hands
- Perform 5 wrist circles in each direction
- Stretch your fingers wide, then relax
💡Your hands don't need more intensity—they need more variety. Pairing mobility, sensory work, visual coordination, and regular movement breaks can give your nervous system more information while reducing the repetitive stress placed on your wrists and hands.
When Will You See Results?Everyone responds differently, but consistency creates the best opportunity for improvement.
With consistent effort, many clients notice:
