The 2023 doTERRA Global Convention did not disappoint and neither did the new products that were introduced as permanent products to the already amazing lineup! Let’s take a look at and learn about the new products, shall we?
Shinrin-Yoku™ – Forest Bathing Blend
Forest bathing is a practice that involves immersing oneself in a nature and engaging in activities that promote slowing down, mindfulness and relaxation – it’s about soaking in the atmosphere and sensory experiences of nature in a way that reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, promotes creativity, boost immune functions, and improves mood.
In September 2021, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that the average American spends approximately 90% of their time indoors. Including time spent at home, work, school, and other indoor environments. So, when you’re hard pressed to find a forest, park, or get outside bring nature inside with this beautiful blend. Diffusing terpenes-rich essential oils promotes a calming environment when slowing down, focusing, and centering.
The Shinrin-Yoku™ blend contains Lemon, Patchouli, Magnolia, Siberian Fir, Cypress, Cardamom, Hinoki, Lavandin, Grapefruit, Geranium, and Lemon Petitgrain. It's available in a 15mL bottle great for diffusing or a 10mL roller bottle with diluted with Fractionated Coconut Oil, making it convenient for topical application and on-the-go use.
Blue Lotus
Native to Egypt and parts of East Africa, the blue lotus has been used for centuries in religious ceremonies, as a symbol of rebirth and spiritual enlightenment and well as an aphrodisiac inducing a sense of relaxation, euphoria and transformation.
In modern times Blue Lotus can be used as a personal aroma (Jasmine and Magnolia pair well with it), applied to the face or hands for soft, hydrated skin, and the scent promotes feelings of relaxation.
Birch
While you may have seen other birch oils on the market, doTERRA is the first essential oil company to provide a true, pure birch oil. The scientists dove into this by testing 14 different companies “birch” oil only to discover that there wasn’t even one drop of pure birch essential oil in the bottle, and some even tested positive for using expired aspirin in their bottles.
Birch has similar aroma and properties as Wintergreen. It’s great for masking odors, reducing the appearance of blemishes and providing a cooling, soothing sensation to muscles.
SuperMint™ Toothpaste
doTERRA already had a winning toothpaste with On Guard, but they realized that many people are used to a “traditional” minty-fresh flavor – so now you have two options. Both are fluoride-free, containing hydroxyapatite to help remineralize and restore tooth enamel, plus hydrated silica and calcium carbonate which are natural polishing agents.
The SuperMint blend includes Peppermint, Japanese Mint, Bergamot Mint, and Spearmint essential oils.
Pro Tip: If you’re already using the On Guard toothpaste, continue to use it at night – since it contains immune supporting properties. Then use the SuperMint toothpaste in the morning to help boost your mood and energize your soul.
PB Restore ProBiome Complex & PB Assist+ ProBiome Gut Complex
Two popular doTERRA products have received a ton of attention and research taking our microbiome to a whole new level with the reformulation of the PB Restore (formally PB Assist+ probiotic defense) and PB Assist+ (formally PB Assist Jr. probiotic powder).
The PB Restore has been upleveled from 6 billion CFU live cells per dose to 18 billion and it’s gone from 6 total stains to 29 strains! What hasn’t changed is the dual-chamber, time-released delivery system which supports the body throughout the day and provides probiotics that break down in the stomach, allowing the probiotics to be delivered to the intestines – where they’re needed the most. Another new addition to this formula are the postbiotics and bacteriophages that help restore microbial diversity and balance for optimal microbiome health and overall wellness.
Designed to complement the PB Restore, the PB Assist+ formulation of live cultures specifically targets gut health. And this great-tasting strawberry melon-flavored pre- and probiotic powder makes it a win for the entire family! Serenity® Sleep System
The amazing Serenity® Calming Blend oil, remains unchanged. While the Serenity® Restful Complex Softgels have been revamped to include tart cherry, a natural source of melatonin. These should help you to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer, as well as improve the quality of your overall sleep.
The brand-new addition to the sleep system is the Serenity® Stick + Valerian. According to Google, valerian root was historically used to treat insomnia, migraine, fatigue and stomach cramps. In modern times, it’s changed slightly to also include anxiety, depression, PMS and headaches. The Stick is a super convenient way to apply the oils to your wrists, back of neck, chest or bottoms of feet as part of your bedtime routine without a greasy feeling.
