More PAIN - Road to an Amputation

The following day, now Tuesday (9/27/16), the pain was so bad that unannounced Steve decided to go back to the nephrologist to let him know his fluid intake and yet how much worse he'd gotten.

The nephrologist once again dismissed his words and told him that he was suffering from severe dehydration in his calf muscle.  That the muscle was shrinking and pulling on the tendons in his foot, which was causing the blood flow to be interrupted.

Once again he sent him on his way.

Steve suffered all day with no changes and went to see an acupuncturist to try to loosen the muscle.  He did that two days in a row and decided to go back to his primary care doctor, because there was still no relief.  The PCP prescribed 350mg of Carisoprodol, which is a muscle relaxer and suggested that he should get an MRI and that someone would call to get it set up.  Unfortunately it was later in the day and no one called, so Steve called back the next day, now Friday (9/30/16) - again no one called to follow-up and get the MRI scheduled.  The weekend was much of the same - TONS of pain and no relief.  This also meant no sleep, so Steve was beyond mental and physical exhaustion at this point.
