Peppermint

dōTERRA Peppermint is one of my absolute favorite essential oils. Why? Because it's so versatile! Seriously, I mean I use it for cooling off, fresh breath, when I'm feeling head tension creeping in, cooking, seasonal threats, energy, tea replacement, water enhancer, tummy tamer, and simply because I enjoy the smell. In fact, that's what I love most about dōTERRA in general - the majority (if not all) of their essential oils can be used in a variety of ways.
So lets dive into a few of those.  As the summer season starts rolling, our schedules tend to get even busier with the kids out of school. Whether you’re continually running them to a friends house, sports practice, birthday parties, or running errands to capitalize on summer sales, dōTERRA Peppermint is your perfect pick-me-up!

Add one drop of Peppermint with a cut fruit like strawberries or limes for a deliciously infused water. Peppermint oil makes a healthy addition to any beverage because it helps promote healthy respiratory function and clear breathing, and by adding dōTERRA Peppermint oil to something as simple as the water you drink, you encourage healthy respiratory function in your body while simultaneously changing up the flavor to your drinks. You can try this out with dōTERRA citrus oils too, like Lemon or Tangerine.

I just love to diffuse 4 drops of Wild Orange and 2 drops of Peppermint. And for a solution on the go, I ALWAYS do 1 drop of each in my hand, rub together and rub on the back of my neck, then inhale several deep breaths.  AMAZING!!!  It smells yummy, will cool you off, will give you a sense of control in the form of happiness and is energizing.  Awe, it's making me want to do it right now!
